Capt. Manish Uppal, Head of Operations, AirAsia India is a trained airline transport pilot with over 15 years of experience in training fleets, piloting commercial flights and managing airline operations.
Currently working with AirAsia India, a joint venture between Tata Sons and AirAsia Group, he has been a DGCA approved TRI, CRM facilitator and Designated Examiner for the Airbus A320.
Having previously worked as a Management, Captain and First officer with leading organizations in the commercial aviation industry like IndiGo and Air Deccan, Capt. Uppal before joining AirAsia as the Chief Pilot Training and Standards, was also involved with training the fleet in real-life situations and simulations. Have also undergone specialized training as a pilot, amassing a total of 9000 hours of flying experience.
