Mr. Ashutosh is an accomplished banker with more than 18 years of professional experience. He has worked in financial industry across multiple global financial centers and has gained experience across international banking, strategy, institutional banking, capital markets, and transaction banking etc.
At IFSCA, Mr. Ashutosh works closely with the industry and partners to develop and promote GIFT-IFSC as a regional and global financial center. At IFSCA, he has actively contributed to various regulations including banking and is also leading the strategic initiatives such as Global In-house Centers, Aircraft leasing etc.
Before joining IFSCA, Mr. Ashutosh was working with ICICI Bank in Hongkong as Regional Head (APAC & Americas) for institutional relationships and Head for ICICI Bank’s foreign currency borrowing. Apart from leading other key strategic initiatives in the international banking group, he was responsible for strengthening bank’s franchise and business development with institutions in the region as well as for building a stable and diversified international funding base.
Mr. Ashutosh Sharma holds post graduate degree in management studies from Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad with dual specialization in Finance and Strategy. He also holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi.
